The rain held off until after the parade was done. We followed the traditional route around Sims Park and down Grand, then back to the school. NJROTC color guard, the City Mayor and Deputy Mayor, GHS band and flag corps, administration, homecoming court (riding in some very classy cars!), football team, cheer squad and their coaches, class floats, and guest groups from GMS made the line up. Our parade through downtown New Port Richey was a success today. Class competitions are ongoing during lunches with a “pennies for points” fundraiser going on. We’ve been enjoying the dress up days and keeping track of students participating. It has been an exciting Homecoming Week thus far at Gulf High School.
